About Ray Ritcey

Ray Ritcey is the CEO of The Maritimes Energy Association. He has over 35 years’ experience in the energy industry in Canada. He has held executive positions in both the natural gas and electric industries working with such industry leaders as TransCanada Pipelines, Ontario Hydro, Enbridge and AltaGas. For 10 years he led the development and build-out of natural gas distribution in Nova Scotia and was the founding president of Heritage Gas Limited. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Offshore Energy Research Association and is a member of the Technical Advisory Board for Eastpoint Engineering and is a Committee member for the 2019 Literacy Nova Scotia Gala Dinner and Auction. Born and raised in Halifax, Ray holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant. He lives in Halifax with his wife Debbie and they have two grown children.
