About Jeff Knapp

Jeff is the Manager, Energy & Wastewater Treatment Infrastructure Engineering with Halifax Water and has overall responsibility for the utility’s energy management and renewable generation programs, and capital infrastructure programs within the Utility’s wastewater treatment facilities.  With over 35 years of industrial manufacturing, management and engineering experience, Jeff is keenly aware of the many challenges faced by water and wastewater utilities when trying to implement energy management and renewable energy programs.

Jeff holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, a certificate in Operations Management from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the New Brunswick Community College. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Nova Scotia, is a Past President of Engineers Nova Scotia, and is a Certified Energy Manager.
