About Cedric Tai

Cedric is the head of project management organization at Opus One with over 6 years of experience in the electricity sector in Transmission and Distribution systems, with focus on smart grid solutions and microgrid design and implementation. He has successfully led many microgrid and smart grid deployments for Opus One. He has managed the engineering team on project delivery and supports sale and marketing team on project scoping and project origination Most recently, he led the project and technical development of the project involving substation connected battery system, medium voltage sensors and deployments of residential storage.

Prior to Opus One, he worked at Toronto Hydro in the smart grid team deploying the first community energy storage system and facilitated the roll-out and validation of transformer smart meters and primary line sensors as part of Toronto Hydro’s 25 year smart grid roadmap.

Cedric has a Bachelor in Engineering degree in Engineering Science from University of Toronto and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
