Alexander McIsaac is the Director of Business Development at NRStor Incorporated and sits on the Board of Directors at Energy Storage Canada (ESC) and CAMH Engage. At NRStor, Alexander is responsible for originating and developing project opportunities in both the utility and commercial and industrial sectors. He is currently acting as the owner’s representative on several battery energy storage projects in NRStor’s pipeline with the goal of ensuring these projects are delivered on time and on budget. He led the development and project management of NRStor’s 2MW flywheel project with the IESO, the first commercially contracted flywheel facility in Canada commissioned in 2014, and worked with lenders to secure project financing. Alexander played a role supporting NRStor’s $11 million investment round completed in February 2017 by LiUNA, managed through Fengate Real Asset Management and a $120 million financing facility with the SUSI Energy Storage Fund, which closed in November 2017. Prior to working at NRStor, Alexander spent time in both the investment banking and venture capital industries. He holds a Bachelors of Science Honors from Queens University and an Honors Business Administration (HBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
